Run for Calgary brings out the runner in everyone! This is a volunteer led fundraising event that is dedicated to raising funds for non-profit organizations in Calgary with over 600 participants annually.

Founded in 2009, the Run for Calgary has successfully raised over $150,000. We believe in the importance of building communities and envision in creating a better tomorrow for everyone. The donations received from generous donors aided in the development of the Genesis Centre of Community Wellness in Northeast Calgary in 2009 and 2010.

From 2011, the Run for Calgary has collaborated with the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, and has raised over $100,000 for children and families who rely on care from the hospital every year.

In 2013, the Run for Calgary patterned with the Canadian Blood Services. The partnership has proved to be valuable in that the Blood Services market and promote the Run for Calgary at its donor clinics throughout Southern Alberta. The Blood Services are provided with an opportunity to create awareness at the Run for Calgary by having the opportunity to disseminate information on the importance of donating blood, and the chance to recruit new donors from within the Run for Calgary participants.

Today, Run for Calgary is held annually at the St Patricks Island, where Calgarians come together as a community and raise funds for the Calgary Drop-In Center. From the bouncy house, fun booths, complimentary refreshments and giveaways held during the event, we ensure the involvement of all ages!
